Buyouts is a two-sided marketplace and information service where founders list AI SaaS businesses for sale with verified metrics and vetted buyers browse and acquire with escrow. We collect the email and account details you give us, the marketplace activity and preferences you create, messages you send us, and basic analytics and log data, so we can run the product and improve it. We never sell your personal information.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what we collect when you visit buyouts.ai, browse the listing deck, request access to a listing, save a deal, create an account or membership, list a business for sale, or contact us. It covers the Buyouts website and product, which connects AI SaaS sellers with vetted buyers. We do not provide brokerage or advisory services and we do not guarantee any transaction.

Information we collect

• Account and membership information. The email address you provide when you sign up, and any optional details you choose to share, such as your name, whether you are a buyer or a seller, and your acquisition or listing criteria. We use a short verification code to confirm your email.
• Marketplace activity. The categories you filter by, the listings you view, the deals you save, and the access requests you make, so the service can show relevant deal flow and you can return to your saved listings.
• Seller information. For founders who list a business, the listing details, anonymized handle, category, metrics you submit, and the contact and billing information needed to run a paid listing.
• Messages you send us. If you use the contact form, we keep your name, email and message so we can respond.
• Analytics data. Aggregate usage information about how the site is used, so we can understand which features are helpful and improve the experience.
• Technical and log data. Standard information such as IP address, browser type, and the page or campaign you arrived from, including UTM parameters, used for security, fraud prevention and understanding traffic sources.

How we use your information

• To run the marketplace, including showing AI SaaS listings, metric breakdowns, multiples and educational valuation context.
• To set up your account or membership, verify your email address, save deals and alerts, and respond to your questions.
• To operate paid listings and buyer access for participants and to handle their billing.
• To send you relevant product updates and, if you opt in, deal alerts, which you can turn off at any time.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the product is used so we can improve it, and to protect the marketplace from abuse, fraud and security threats.

Listings and metrics

Listing content, including metrics, multiples and stack details, originates with the sellers and is anonymized into handles and category chips. It is provided to help buyers decide whether to look closer and may not reflect a live or current state. Buyouts is a marketplace, not a party to any transaction, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any listing or any sale price or return. Buyers are responsible for their own due diligence.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the product, such as our hosting, payment and email delivery providers, and only to the extent they need it to perform their function. Where a buyer and a seller choose to engage, we share the limited information needed to facilitate that contact. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and our users.

How we think about security

We design to minimize the data we collect, limit access to it, and protect the information you trust us with. We use strong encryption in transit and at rest and least-privilege access. We do not claim any certification or status we do not hold.

Data retention

We keep account, membership and listing data for as long as an account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, billing and security obligations. You can ask us to delete the information you have submitted at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to retain it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information in transit and at rest, and we limit who can access it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to collect as little of it as possible in the first place.

Your choices and rights

You can access, correct or delete the information you have submitted, and you can opt out of non-essential email and deal alerts at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data. To exercise any of these, email us and we will help.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and site evolve. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
